AUTUMN 2022
It's over again, that beautiful summer… But not here in Casa Pura Vida!
After the exuberant celebration of our son's 8th birthday at the end of September, October will be the most beautiful and busiest period of the year, after September, for the second year in a row.
The Spanish autumn invariably promises temperatures above 20 degrees, lots of sun and nights that are cool enough to sleep well.
Autumn is also a time for cycling, hiking and reading a book by the pool. Although the pool itself is now getting too cool to really enjoy it.
Many guests also come to us to go out to discover the local fauna, flora, culture and catering.
Speaking of our guests… Our B&B has been open for 18 months now and we received our 18th nationality last week! That is phenomenal! People from all over the world, but especially Europe, find their way to our unique place.
And how fantastic is it that the verdict of all these people is all so very positive! We put our heart and soul into our house and the guests feel this energy and warmth and shower us with superlatives. Google: 5 stars. Booking.com 9.7. TripAdvisor: 5 bubbles.
But we also always look ahead…
In the coming weeks we will start preparing to warm our winter guests with a authentic wood-fired stove.
The firewood was already bought in March and has been able to dry all summer. Now it's time to get to work with the ax and chop the wood into stove-size.
In November, the entire house will also receive a new coat of paint to protect it from the sun, which will be shining more and more in the coming years.
And also in November, water will be drilled on our domain so that we can be self-sufficient in our water supply from December. In this way we no longer have to buy our water and we are a bit more independent again.
We like that we can keep you a little bit up to date on our life under the Spanish sun and we hear from many of you that you always look forward to the next newsletter.
