Semana Santa

In other words, Easter week.

Semana Santa is big in Spain. This week there will be extensive and exuberant feasting and celebrations throughout Spain with processions, fireworks and all kinds of activities, all of which have to do with the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

Of course, many tasty foods are made and eaten, such as the Mona. A typical Spanish Easter pastry with a hard-boiled, painted or unpainted egg in the middle.

Three days after Easter, there is another reason to celebrate. From April 20, the entire mask obligation will expire throughout Spain. The duty will only remain in force for a while at airports, in hospitals, doctor's practices and rest homes. The Corona pandemic is also under control in Spain, which means that these new measures can now be continued.

In addition, for the past few days, all travelers to Spain no longer need to fill out a Spth or PLF form.

And yes, we have even more reasons to celebrate this month!

Since April 11th, we have a third room with its own, ensuite bathroom at your disposal! We have done some renovations so that we now have 3 rooms with private, ensuite bathroom and 2 more with a shared bathroom. This will also remain so that we can easily offer these 2 rooms to families. Everyone happy!

And last but not least...

Another party! Since April 2 we are open for one year!

We celebrated this with appropriate modesty with our guests and we promised ourselves to get started next year with even more enthusiasm!

Oh yes, in between all that partying we almost forgot to tell you that we still have our whole house for rent during the summer holidays. We are going to travel ourselves between July 8 and August 14 and rent out our house as a holiday home during that period. The week between 9 and 16 July is still available.
