Where are the clouds?

unbelievable. What a start to this new year. The days with 15 degrees and more are hard to keep up with. The days where the thermometer shows 20 degrees or more already exceed the average of a Belgian/Dutch summer! Fantastic! Still, we also have to make a small caveat... It hasn't really rained since November and the furthest forecast doesn't indicate any significant rain either. This means that water is becoming scarcer. A trend that has been going on for a long time. The local farmers have not seen this drought in 60 years. In this way a person becomes very aware of his water consumption! Water is the new Spanish gold. But Spain is taking action. New catchment basins are being built across the country to take full advantage of all the rain that falls. Well done, Spain.

Fortunately, our booking calendar does not run dry and we can now look forward to a year with many visitors known to us, strangers and people who come back for the second or third time! We have to do SOMETHING right.

The past few weeks we have also been busy taking new photos. Making a virtual 360° tour and a drone video.

We have also installed a water thermo installation where we can have our water heated by the sun in a green way for a large part of the year so that we can take a lovely shower.

And we have installed extra home batteries so that we can take full advantage of the yield from our solar panels.

For those who want to experience what life on a Finca in the Spanish interior looks like, during a well-deserved holiday, of course, be welcome!

Enjoy life!

Sunny and dry greetings from Casa Pura Vida!
